The MIM
Work Based Diploma Management Programme is an integrated programme focusing on
learning that was gained from past work experience and the development of new learning in
the form of work based projects focusing on the learner's current work role.
The programme enables motivated Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders with the skills
and tools to effectively and efficiently manage the day-to-day running of the business
whilst assisting the business to achieve its strategic objectives. This holistic
integrated management model adopted by the MIM Work Based Diploma in Management
Programme ensures the enhancement of the competencies of the managers to build
organisational capability.

Delivery Method
Workshop facilitation, Case Studies, Group Discussions, Presentations, Action Learning,
Self-directed Learning, Coaching and Project Assessments.
Assessment Method
The unique feature of
the MIM Work-Based Diploma in Management Programme is that the assessment is based on workplace assignments, and there is no exam. Participants will be assessed through:
- Workplace assignments
- Project papers
- Evidence of application of learning at workplace
- Supervisor's verification document
- Portfolio of Evidence
- Personal reflection paper
Who Should Attend
Managers, Supervisors and Department Heads Entrepreneurs
Duration and Schedule of class
- 12 months of completion.
- 18 workshop days which will be conducted during weekends
- Total contact and non contact hours: 82 hours per unit
Entry Qualification
- Minimum SPM with 3 credits
- At least 3 years' working experience and be able to see aspects of your current
work as having opportunity to undertake projects.
For those who do not have the required direct entry qualification but who possess the
necessary Recognised Prior Learning experience; admission can be considered on as
case to case basis.
Professional Certification
Dual Diploma in Australia and in Malaysia:
- MIM Work Based Diploma In Management Programme (MIM Work Based DIMP) from the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM)
- Diploma Of Management from the Australia-wide Business Training Pty Ltd (awbt)
PSMB Scheme
This programme falls under the PROLUS scheme from PSMB. Employers can submit their claims for reimbursement to PSMB upon completion of each unit of the programme.
Programme Fees
MIM Member: RM10,000 per participant
Non-Member: RM11,000 per participant
A non-refundable RM 150 commitment fee for registration and administrative purpose.
